60th Anniversary Hollister Motorcycle Rally

It's been way too long since I've posted but have had tons of issues going on that needed to be dealt with.
However, after a stressful June, I decided to ride up to central California and hit Hollister, CA for the 60th anniversary Hollister Rally. I'm glad I did
This was a fun weekend. It didn't have the nightlife like the Laughlin run has if for no other reason there isn't any gambling. Probably just as well for me as it kept the finances in check and also kept my alcohol consumption down.

Since I wasn't able to get a room right in town, I settled for a motel in San Juan Bautista, CA. I was expecting some run down farming town but was surprise to find a pretty cool and historic town.

Hollister Motorcycle Rally

San Juan is the home to a very cool old mission that was built in the mid 1800's. I definitely had a cool time walking around town and checking out the sites and talking to a few locals. And speaking of locals, despite the fact that last years rally was cancelled due to objections by some Hollister residents and business owners, pretty much everyone I spoke to seemed to be totally cool, if not happy with the bikers heading into town.

So after doing some siteseeing in San Juan on Saturday, I headed into Hollister to check out the rally.
